What is the Love of Heritage Intergenerational Tour?
This tour is a unique experience designed to connect participants with Creole and Cajun traditions while exploring the Black experience in New Orleans. The journey includes cultural, historical, and culinary activities that celebrate the rich heritage of Louisiana.
Who can attend this tour?
The tour is suitable for all ages, making it perfect for families and individuals alike. However, please note that the Whitney Plantation tour requires some walking.
I'm not black, may I attend?
Absolutely! Just understand that all tours and workshops are delivered from an African diasporic point of view. Anyone who wishes to increase their understanding of the African American experience over a weekend event is welcome join us.
What’s included in the tour package?
The package includes daily breakfast and soda, wine, beer, mixed drink and hot food every evening ; meals as listed; transportation to and from the Whitney Plantation; and a pre-function welcome reception on February 14.
Where will we be staying?
You'll be staying in New Orleans. Specific hotel information will be provided once your deposit is received.
What are the hotel rates?
$195 for single/double, $215 for Triple, and $234 for Quad
What is the cancellation policy?
$60 non-refundable deposit per person
25% cancellation fee until Dec 1
50% cancellation fee until Jan 1
75% cancellation fee until Jan 25
